Anticancer Activity of Lime

Citrus aurantifolia (family: Rutaceae) is primarily used in daily consumption, many national cuisines, and for making juices. Its properties include being antibacterial, anticancer, antidiabetic, anti-hypertensive, anti-inflammatory, anti-lipidemic, and antioxidant; in addition, it can protect the heart, liver, bones, and prevent urinary diseases. The secondary metabolites of this plant include alkaloids, carotenoids, and triterpenoids.
