Importance of kundur as Herb

Boswellia serrata Roxb is commonly known as Kundur in the Unani system of medicines. Kundur Gum is popularly used in the Indian system of Medicines for the last several centuries in curing various ailments. Kundur aids astringent, Dafe Taffun (antiseptic), haemostatic, ulcer, memory tonic, healing action, carminative etc. Oleo gum resin is used in medicine, perfume, air fresheners and incense.
