The stem of Balam Kheera contains excellent anti-malarial properties in terms of chloroquine (a drug commonly used to treat and prevent Malaria) and quinine (an anti-parasite that prevents Malaria).

3. Anti-amoebic 
The stem bark extract of Balam Kheera is proven to have an anti-amoebic property in its iridoids (a kind of chemical structure inside plants). In comparison with other medicinal herbs, fruits, or stems, Balam Kheera has the highest amount of anti-amoebic properties.

4. Antioxidant

The general dosage of Balam Kheera is as follows: 

Powder:  1/2 tsp. twice a day with warm water after food.

Decoction: 3-4 tsp. with a half cup of water twice a day before food.
