Individuals with Parkinson's Disease (PD) experience significant limitations in motor function, functional gait, postural stability, and balance. This NCBI research study examined the effects of an 8-week Yoga intervention on motor function, functional gait, postural stability, and balance control for people with PD. Compared to wait-list control participants (n=12), yoga participants (n=15) had improved motor function, postural stability, functional gait, freezing gait, and reduced fall risks.
