CONSTIPATION, OBESITY, ACNE/PIMPLES
In the world of Ayurveda, doctors and practitioners use numerous herbal remedies. Among those magnificent herbs and remedies, Arogyavardhini Vati is an all-time favorite. It is a traditional Ayurvedic remedy used to treat liver disease, fever, skin disease, and more. As the name implies, "Arogya" means 'good health' and "Vardhini" means 'to improve'. So this Ayurvedic preparation is beneficial to improve the body's overall health. This ayurvedic remedy is also referred to as "Prashmani", which means a cure for all disorders.
Arogyavardhini Vati is utilized in Ayurveda to cure a variety of ailments due to its ability to balance all three doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha). Its Deepan and Pachan properties help to alleviate stomach problems. The detoxifying (Shodhana) properties of Arogyavardhini Vati aid in body weight maintenance. It also aids in the treatment of a variety of digestive issues by increasing metabolism and removing waste from the body.
Arogyavardhini Vati is useful for treating various health conditions and is beneficial in the following:
1. Chronic Fever
Chronic fever or persistent fever lasts longer than 10-14 days. This condition can arise from a mild infection or a chronic illness. According to Ayurveda, two factors can cause a high fever. The first is Ama (toxin residue in the body due to improper digestion), and the second is Foreign particles or organisms. Arogyavardhini Vati effectively reduces fever, as it has fever-reducing (Javarghana) properties. Additionally, its appetite stimulant (Deepan) and digestive (Pachan) properties help to reduce fever by improving digestion, absorption of food, and preventing the formation of toxins.
Dose - 2 tab. twice a day with warm water.
2. Constipation
Constipation is a condition characterized by irregular bowel movements and difficulty in excreting. As per Ayurveda, constipation is caused by aggravation in Vata dosha. Consuming junk food, having excessive coffee or tea, sleeping late at night, high-stress levels and depression are factors that cause constipation and aggravate Vata dosha. Arogyavardhini Vati has Vata-balancing properties and Rechan (purgative) properties that help manage constipation.
Dose: 2 tabs. with warm water at bedtime.

3. Obesity
Obesity is a widespread condition that occurs primarily due to poor eating habits or lack of physical activity. It is an accumulation of toxin residue in the body due to improper digestion that takes the form of excess fat. This leads to an imbalance of Meda Dhatu, which causes obesity. Arogyavardhini Vati is an effective Ayurvedic preparation that helps in reducing weight by reducing ama with help of its appetite stimulant (Deepan) and digestion stimulant (Pachan) properties. Additionally, its detoxification (shodhan) properties help remove waste products from the body.
Dose: 2 tabs. early morning empty stomach with warm water.
4. Indigestion
An indicator of indigestion is a feeling of fullness after eating, bloating, or abdominal pain. In Ayurveda, indigestion is known as agnimandya, resulting from an imbalance in pitta dosha. This condition occurs when ama (toxic residue formed in the body from improper digestion) is produced due to low digestive fire (Mand Agni). If the food consumed remains undigested due to Mand Agni, it leads to the development of ama, which causes indigestion. Arogyavardhini Vati aids in the treatment of indigestion by digesting toxic residue in the body (ama) thanks to its enhancer (Deepan) and digestive (Pachan) qualities.
Dose: 2 tabs. twice a day with warm water.
5. Anorexia
Ayurveda claims that the food ingested may not be digested properly when the digestive fire (mand agni) is low, resulting in ama (toxic residue in the body). This can result in anorexia or loss of appetite, known as aruchi. It is a condition that involves an imbalance of doshas Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Furthermore, there may also be psychological factors that lead to improper digestion of food and inadequate secretion of gastric juice in the stomach, which can all contribute to loss of appetite over time. Arogyavardhini Vati is one of the most effective Ayurvedic preparations used to treat anorexia due to its tridoshahar properties (balancing vata, pitta, and kapha).
Dose: 1 tab. with honey and warm water, when feeling nauseous.
6. Anaemia
Anaemia is characterized by a deficiency in red blood cells, which reduces the blood's capacity to transport oxygen. In Ayurveda, anaemia is called Pandu Roga and results from an imbalance of one of the three doshas, mainly Pitta. Anaemia can occur due to any of the following conditions: malnutrition, improper eating habits, deficient digestive fire, or blood loss. As a result of all these conditions, Rasa Dhatu and Rakta Dhatu are disturbed, resulting in Pandu Roga. Arogyavardhini Vati treats anaemia because of its ability to balance Tridosha (mainly Pitta).
Dose: 1 tab. twice a day with milk.
7. Acne-Pimple
The kaphaj-pittaj type of skin tends to be acne-prone. According to Ayurveda, increased Kapha leads to increased production of sebum and clogged pores. Blackheads and whiteheads are the results of this aggravation. Similarly, any inflammation caused by Pitta is characterized by red papules (bumps) and pustules. In Ayurveda, Arogyavardhini Vati is one of the most effective treatments for acne and pimples. It contains Pitta, Kapha balancing, and anti-inflammatory properties that treat acne and pimples.
Dose: 1 tab. twice a day with normal water.
